Chris' Big Day

((Written a few months back but forgot to post))

Chris' BIG day has come and gone just like that! Beautiful is all I can say to describe the big day. Everything from the food to the decorations and the settings were amazing! It's the best outdoor wedding I've ever attended! The best part? No mosquitos attacked me. Praise the Lord for that! To be honest, I was actually quite fearful for my life. All worked out though. I didn't have much of a hand in preparing this wedding as I couldn't take much days off, but below are some of my favorite memories from the wedding.

1) Working the gift table. Just greeting everyone and seeing how everyone willingly gave to the couple was a very humbling experience for me.

2) When the song started playing and I saw my three brothers walking up to the plate ready to make that walk down the isle, one after another. I became so teary-eyed because looking at them all suited up and looking so handsome, they no longer looked like my little brothers. They were full grown and handsome men that I get the honor of calling "my brothers". They seem to have grown so much over the years. Life has gotten so serious lately and they grew even when I didn't realize it. First went Chris along with Rev. Cuaj Faaj Yim, then Yeng, and then Ranson. Strucking their calm, cool, and collective walk down the isle confidently while the drum beats to the rhythm of the music and my heart, how proud I am to see them all grown up and grown up well!

3) Seeing my gorgeous sister-in-law in her beautiful gown and both her parents by her side--- She looked so happy and my heart jumped for joy knowing someone out there love my brother enough to want to spend the rest of her life with him. That made me so happy! Thank you for loving my brother, Sunshine.

4) During the best man's speech when Chris got up to hug Yeng because Yeng had the best speech ever! I've never seen him so emotional. It's good to see that side of him.

5) The watermelon carving that had their kissing engagement picture carved on there. That was some legit carving skills!

6) The best memory of all was having the opportunity to witness two families working as one. There were some serious supporting going on in that kitchen and I love that we're all able to come together to ensure this is the best day of their lives. I'm super blessed to be a part of this moment, even if from a distant.

There's one thing I know for sure in witnessing this marriage: I know that God is glorified through this union and for that I am happy.
