Anyway, it seems that people are slowly moving on with their lives despite our current world affair. Life must be lived and living in fear is no way to live. With that in mind my husband and I took a short vacation. The Blue Ridge Mountains were calling and we must go! It felt so peaceful and I absolutely did not want to come back at all! We did lots of driving, lots of sleeping and lots of shopping! On the third day, I seriously thought my legs were going to fall off my body! I enjoyed the getaway though and can't wait until the next time we get to do this again. There's just a certain peace and calmness about it all.
The unplanned vacation took a dip in our pockets though, but oh! how we enjoyed shopping like there's no tomorrow! I wanted to shop until I dropped but we were running out of time. The vacation did set us back quite a bit and now I just feel like we're starting all over from scratch. What was that saying? Oh yes, as long as we don't stop.
Also, although I did horribly with my weight-loss (gained 3 lbs) for the month of May, my credit score did jump up to 673, 645 and 619! Taking the median, I guess I'm officially in the "FAIR" category! I had looked forward to coming home only to work on our budget again. It always excites me to have a clear understanding of the path we're embarking on. Also, my husband and I had a serious conversation about our future home, which makes it all the more real to me that this is actually really going to happen soon. In one of the hotels we stayed at during our trip, it had a spa-like walk-in shower with glass doors with the perfect water pressure. Taking a shower felt so nice! For once, it didn't feel like work (my current shower head sucks and yes, we tried replacing it but that didn't work). I knew I always wanted something like that in my master bathroom in the future, but after experiencing that walk-in shower, it is a confirmation that I have to have it! Still, one step at a time...
