Life: Snow-ball Effect Update

A few posts ago, I talked about minimizing our debt by using the Dave Ramsey's Snow-ball effect with a tweak. Here's a few things we paid off:

• Bedroom set
• Sofa/Table/Chairs set
• New bed
• Chevy Sonic LT
• Two Peaks Student Loans
• One of Jamy's major CC
• Two of Pang's CC
• Half of the remaining balance on our Nissan Sentra

This accumulates to an additional $600 towards the Nissan Sentra. This means that we should be done with that particular car note right before Christmas!

Aside from moving back in with my in-laws while on this journey, we have not made any big changes. We still shop a lot and often eat out since we commute and work late. It doesn't help that Summer is here and I'm getting lazy. I'm also losing motivation in the little details.

Our only goal for the remainder of the year is to pay off our Nissan and save money for a rainy day while we work on our credit score. Speaking of which, did I mention that my credit score actually went up since we paid off a few things? Lovely!

To not lose focus on the bigger picture, below are a few things that we need to keep our eyes on. These are potentially goals for the upcoming year.

- Pay off all of Jamy's CC
- Pay off Jamy's motorcycle
- Pay off Jamy's Honda Civic
- Pay off Pang's Navient Loans
