"Action!" in 2019

Happy New Year! There's a lot happening this year. This is going to be the year that I will get my life together. I have a few things that I need to focus on this year.
  1. Pay off my car, my husband's car, and my 401K loan that I took out a few years back.
  2. Save $15,600.00
  3. Get my citizenship
  4. Lose 50 lbs
1. Since I've started putting our debts in order and starting the debt snowball, I have a clearer image in my head. Both the cars and the 401K loan will be paid off by the end of this year! Thankfully, since I'm the type of person that's visual and seeing a "Paid in Full" memo will really boost my moral to keep going with this debt snowball.

2. I've got a plan to save this much! I pray that my husband and I do not deviate from this plan. We can do this! January just started and I'm putting things in perspective now. I have a wall with the "plan" taped on there. It's also the place where I get ready every morning for work because I see it every every morning and every night before I go to bed. I am a firm believer of "out of sight, out of mind". This way, it is always there at the front of my mind. Another way to keep me in check is to have monthly review, quarterly reviews, mid-year review, and end of year review! :) 

3. Just like debt, this is one of those things that I'd like to bury away but I know I can't avoid it forever. I pray to God that my green card (renewed since last year) will get here on time so I can apply for my citizenship. God-willing. Once I get my citizenship, the first thing I'm doing is going on a cruise, then to Montreal to visit Judy and Hans.... and finally, Switzerland. 

4. I joined the "GetFit" program at work yesterday. $10 buy-in. I'm fat, ya'll. I weight-in on the scale at work at 188.2! *jaw drops* It's a 30 day competition with two 4 winners. Two first place and two second places. We can do this. I don't plan on working out right now, but I am watching what I eat. Let's see where this will take me. The good news is that my whole team is doing it so there's a lot of morale happening right hurrr. Lol When it gets warmer, I will incorporate running into my regime. We have a track down the road from our house that I can really benefit from. I will keep you updated.

This is it. For 2019, I will take action! ;) God speed!
