Over the weekend, I tagged along with the boys to Atlanta to attend Sneaker Con! It is exactly what it sounds like. A convention filled with sneakers and something I have no clue about! I did a lot of shoe-observing and I can say that I was really out of place. Everyone wore their best sneakers and they were all so new on their feet! I was probably the only one not wearing a sneaker that day! Well, except the Asian man that walked past us in some hot pink sandals. I walked around with the boys for five hours straight with no complaints. I was rather entertained by how real this sneaker game really is! People were exchanging shoes and cash like it grew on trees! The thought of it still sounds very ridiculous to me because the shoes were beyond expensive! My brother-in-law bought a shoe that was like $400! Of course, he got a great deal on it and only paid $260! Still, do you know how long it takes to even make that much? I have better things to do than spend it on shoes! The whole time I kept wondering about how much makeup or clothes I can get with all these money! LOL I accepted the fact that I will never understand this game but I considered it pure joy walking around in circles, smelling everyone and their mama's armpits as I'm pretty sure I was one of the few and only short girls there, because doing this was spending time with my husband. After five hours of nonstop walking, my leg and especially my soles were begging for mercy! We finally left the place around 7-ish after each boy had a pair of expensive sneakers in their hands. They were so excited about their sneakers and I was super excited to be leaving that we forgot where we parked. It was funny, actually, and it'll probably be a good conversation starter next time around. ahaha. When we were in Sneaker Con, there was a moment where people were everywhere and it was inevitable not to rub arms or shoulders with someone. Now imagine everyone all sweaty! My point exactly! I didn't get a sneaker, but I did get this candid shot below. After the event, we went to VNTofu to buy Asian desserts! I was in Heaven! We bought so much sweets! We were there no more than 40 minutes but the boys were already complaining. They didn't say it out loud but I heard it from a mile away! Boys, I tell ya. It was a wonderful day well spent! These are moments for making memories. What a blessed weekend! Praise God for little moments like these!!!![]() |
