A Kind of Romance

“I missed you today, “ He texted, “How about a movie later?"

It was nothing romantic, really. We dressed up as bums. T-shirts , shorts, and flip-flops. We opt for the AMC at Sugarloaf Mills (formally known as Discover Mills). We decided on Pacific Rims because it had good ratings. Trust me, it did not disappoint. Prior to the movie, we had dinner at the outlet’s food court. They had new restaurants opened and boy was I a happy piggie! I was even more excited about their Green Leaf Restaurant which had a smoothie bar---green smoothie. Yummmy!!! Everything looked so delish. Because I've been craving for some spaghetti lately, I ate at this restaurant called “Villa”, which served all things Italian. I had me an entrée of lasagna, some greek salad, a side of spaghetti, a huge roll of garlic bread and a bottle of water. All this for under $10! You can’t beat that anywhere else when it comes to Italian food! Guess what else? We ran into Isaac Kue! Yes, he sure was working at Villa. My husband and I had a good laugh joking that Isaac looked a little Chinese with his du rag on. From afar, we whispered whether it was Isaac or not. Finally, he waved to us. He took long enough! :) Thank goodness because we weren’t about to wave first. It would've been pretty embarrassing if it wasn't Isaac! My husband said he wasn’t hungry so we were just going to share. While we sat down, my husband said he was getting a smoothie. Why did I believe him to begin with? Lo and behold, he came back with some lomein and chicken terriyaki! He always gets chicken terriyaki when we go to Discover Mills! We are such piggies! No wonder we can never lose weight. We came home and he said this night out was a celebration for my achievement with Dexis! Oh yes, Dexis decided to hire me permanently. Thank God for this wonderful blessings! Well, that’s my husband and me. Even though our nights out are everything short of fancy dining, we sure know how to have a good time with what we’re given.  Yes, that’s us. He missed me and he wanted a date out. Although it’s nothing romantic since we do it all the time, it’s simple and sweet and because it’s nothing short of sweet, that’s all the romance that this girl needs!
