A Provoking Thought

The last day before my grandma left back to California she made it a point to ask me (I knew she eventually would), "Es... koj cale yuav nyob le ko xwb los?" Granted, at the time I was holding baby Ian and sitting on the sofa. My first initial thought was "Yes...???" lol. Then, somehow like a rush of wind, her question just hit me. Loosely translated, "Are you really not planning on kids any time soon?" Before I could even begin to process her perfectly timed question, I already heard the answer in my head and my heart. Meanwhile, grandpa proceeded to tell my husband about all the different types of wildly grown weeds and herbs that may help with human reproductions. My husband pretended to understand and responded with the usual "Yes, we'll look for it or we'll keep that in mind". It's funny because I know that my husband has no idea what grandpa is talking about. Sometimes these types of questions are pertinent in that they provoke our thoughts enough to remind us of the bigger picture, but more importantly they remind us of the One whose bigger and can do all things. In the chaos of these questions, my inner being answered, "Yes, we want to start a family, we want it all, but in all of our imperfections, we want it in God's perfect timing". My husband and I both are content in this truth. :)

Missing Yeng & Jeffrey
Missing Heaven & Season
On another note, I'm going to miss grandma and grandpa. We went back to my parents' house the day after they left. It was very quiet. Clearly, someone was missing. I'm thankful that in this life time my siblings and I still have a grandma and a grandpa, someone to truly care for us and love us so unconditionally. Never knew what we were missing until now! I can't wait to see them again.
