Where I'm At

Greetings from Charlotte! :)

I know, what the heck am I doing up here of all places? Just a quick workshop for work. I'm loving the area that I'm at. This city is truly booming! I'm two miles from the office and right smack in front of the Carowinds theme park! Wow, if Jamy was here, I bet we would be at the park every evening after my work meeting. Then again, the park is probably closed since it's been raining nonstop since I've been here. I haven't done much since my arrival. I was a little afraid that I'd be homesick and hungry for Hmong food. For the record, I really want some papaya salad! Yesterday evening, I took a quick drive down the road to a mom and pop restaurant called "Pho Cali", where they also specialize in Cajun seafood! What a weird combination. I was too afraid to try as I had an early work meeting so I opted for my usual- small bowl of pho, spring rolls, and a coconut drink. It was decent. This evening I was too lazy to go out so I ordered in from a place called Japan 49. I had the steak teriyaki and fried rice with a side of the california rolls. Again, it was decent. I had really wanted a big, juicy steak with some mashed potatoes, but laziness took its toll! What can I say? I'm checking out tomorrow. However, after the meeting, I'm going to avoid traffic by hitting up the outlet mall around the corner! Yay, definitely something I look forward to doing. I can't wait!  :) Honestly, I just really miss my annoying husband and I'd like to go home now. I love "ME" time, but eventually it gets a little lonely. I don't know how people do it all the time for a living. To each it's own and to all a good night!
